97-98 C5 Hypertech LS1 Power Programmer III

The Hypertech Power Programmer features the latest in engine management technology. Since 1994, the Corvette's computer no longer has a replaceable chip, so Hypertech developed a portable programmer allowing you to reprogram your Corvette's computer yourself. Simply plug the programmer into your ALDL connector under your steering wheel, and you're ready to reprogram. With the push of a button, the factory program is downloaded into the programmer, where it is stored and may be used again, if needed. Hypertech's performance program is then uploaded.

The program features both optimized ignition and fuel curves for maximum horsepower at all RPM points, which results in improved driveability and performance. The Power Programmer also raises the automatic transmission's shift points and the engine's rev limiter. It will even recalibrate the speedometer for a variety of aftermarket gear ratios.
